While we only guarantee our styles for the day,
with some love and care our braids can last for several.

Braid Care Guide

1) Please remove any paper flowers before sleeping or getting your hair wet. The flowers have a corkscrew-like stem, so simply twisting them out will be the easiest way of removing them, and they can also be put back in the same way.

2) You can touch up flyaways by using some hairspray and a comb. Simply move the loose strands back to the braid and apply hair spray. Our ribbons are colorfast and will not bleed, shrink, or fade. You can wash your hair or go swimming with the braids in.

3) When you wash your hair it’s best not to use high water pressure, but to pour water over your head using a cup or bowl. When you shampoo simply work up lather in your hands and pat it on the hair. Do not scrub at your scalp or braids, as this will cause them to loosen and create more flyaways. Rinse using a cup, bowl, or showerhead with a low-pressure setting.

4) When drying your hair simply place the towel on your head and use it to pat dry and soak up the excess water, then let your braids air dry. Do not scrub at the braids or wrap a towel around your head as that can cause more flyaways. It’s also not wise to use a hair dryer as the force of the air can cause flyaways.

5) When you are ready to remove your braids. You simply find the end of the braid and unband it, or unknot any braided in ribbons.  Then you should be able to unbraid your hair. Once your hair is completely unbraided any ribbon should slide out with a gentle tug.
